Advocacy Update: Zoning Proposals Voted On to City Council
It has been nearly a year since the first public documents about the Zoning for Quality and Affordability (ZQA) Text Amendment were released, and nearly a year that New Yorkers have expressed serious concerns about the proposal’s negative effects on neighborhoods citywide.
46 East 66th Street
A rowhouse originally built in 1877-1878 and altered in the neo-Georgian style by Mott B. Schmidt in 1919.
125 East 78th Street
An Italianate style residence built c. 1871. Application is to construct rear yard and rooftop addition and excavate the rear yard.
26 East 80th Street
A neo-Renaissance style rowhouse designed by Charles Graham & Sons and built in 1887-88. Application is to construct a rooftop bulkhead.

An Italianate style residence designed by John Sexton and built in 1869, with alterations in 1920 designed by Peabody, Wilson and Brown. Application is to replace ironwork.
4 East 88th Street
A neo-Georgian style apartment building, designed by Electus Litchfield & Rogers, and built in 1921-22. Application is to install a sidewalk canopy.
926 Madison Avenue
A Modern style brick apartment building built in 1945-47 and designed by Sylvan Bien. Application is to modify the design of previously approved storefront infill.
