FRIENDS’ Annual Awards recognize outstanding achievement in preservation, architecture, and advocacy on the Upper East Side on a yearly basis. The awards categories are flexible and can vary each year. Among other areas of accomplishment, previous winners have demonstrated excellence in Restoration, Rehabilitation, Design, and Stewardship. Individuals and advocacy groups who have displayed extraordinary achievement in the field of preservation are eligible. Nominations are typically sought in the fall for a spring awards ceremony held at locations throughout the Upper East Side.
On April 6, 2022 FRIENDS held its 40th Anniversary Annual Meeting and Award Ceremony in-person with a simultaneous premiere of the video ceremony. Congratulations to the 2022 Award Recipients!
