FRIENDS' Testimony:

It is unfortunate that such a large chimney flue extension is what is needed to meet code requirements at this rowhouse. Although the flues will not be very visible during the warmer months, our Preservation Committee worries about the visibility of these flues in the winter once the trees have lost their leaves. From further east along 78th Street, the roof of this building is very visible. Our Committee suggests that the applicant work with the LPC to reduce the size and potential visibility of these flues.
