FRIENDS' Testimony:
The proposed sidewalk planters at 781 Fifth Avenue are a welcome addition to the busy streetscape along Fifth Avenue and 59th Street. We appreciate the rhythmic placement of the proposed planters, as well as their dark green color, which matches the master plan for the windows of the hotel. Overall, this application will beautify the sidewalk and echoes the elegance of the iconic Sherry-Netherland hotel. The Preservation Committee at FRIENDS supports this application.
