FRIENDS' Testimony:
The photographs demonstrate that the building’s original tripartite window configuration remains remarkably intact across floors. However, the 19th floor already shows a notable deviation, and the current proposal for the 20th floor would further depart from this original design.
To prevent the incremental loss of the building’s architectural integrity, FRIENDS’ Preservation Committee strongly urges the development of a Window Master Plan. Such a plan is essential to guide future alterations on both primary and setback façades, ensuring all work respects the original window pattern and design intent.
In the absence of such a master plan, FRIENDS' Preservation Committee can accept the current proposal, provided that this configuration does not establish a precedent for future work and should not be used as a model where the original tripartite pattern remains intact.
