FRIENDS' Testimony:

FRIENDS’ Preservation Committee finds the proposed compressors on the roof of the Cosmopolitan Club to be a minimal and utilitarian addition that will not significantly detract from the building’s character. We understand that the new units will allow the building’s temperature control to operate with greater efficiency than the existing window units. Provided that all of the new mechanical equipment will be painted to match the façade, as is stated in the proposal, FRIENDS supports this application. We look forward to reviewing the second phase of the installation that will ultimately replace the existing through-wall A/C units.
