FRIENDS' Testimony:

Our Preservation Committee felt that the proposed HVAC units, although visible, will be a slight improvement to the existing units. Although the central make-up air unit is much larger than the existing units, its location spanning the width of the central terrace bay will help to consolidate and regularize the equipment, which is currently of varying shapes and sizes. While we understand the constraints of the equipment location and size, it would be preferable if the units did not rise above the height of the iron railing. We recognize the modern needs of the Club, and can support this application if the paint treatment to the new units will indeed match the facade and be as inconspicuous as possible.
