FRIENDS' Testimony:
As a disclaimer, Ronda Wist, of Wist Preservation Associates, sits on FRIENDS’ Board of Directors. However, she has not participated in any discussion regarding this application.
Despite the significant visibility of the bulkhead enlargement, we do not believe it to diminish the building’s significance, nor to negatively impact the townhouse’s historic character. The use of salvaged brick to reclad the existing bulkhead and its enlargement is laudable and will result in a more cohesive look.
FRIENDS Preservation Committee recommends the approval of this application.
