FRIENDS' Testimony:
While not part of this application, the Preservation Committee at FRIENDS commends the design team for their careful reconstruction of the stoop and entry door at 48 East 64th Street. However, while the added bulk in this proposal is minimal and appropriate, the design of the rear addition was found to be incoherent, with excessively large glazing. With a consistent railing design and a reduction in the amount of glass, the committee could support Commission approval of this proposal.
