FRIENDS' Testimony:

When FRIENDS testified ten years ago, during the proposal to replace the building’s last wood-framed, divided-light windows with inappropriate single-pane tilt-and-turns, we argued that any necessary replacements should be made in kind and that the building should adopt a master plan specifying wood-framed, divided-light windows matching the historic 8-over-8 or 10-over-10 configuration of Carpenter’s original design. A decade later, FRIENDS continues to strongly urge the building to devise a master plan to guide the sympathetic replacement of the original windows. However, until such a plan is adopted, we can accept the proposed window design on the 12th floor.
