FRIENDS' Testimony:
The Preservation Committee at FRIENDS finds the proposed awnings and signage at 19 East 71st Street appropriate. However, without a rendering of the proposed exterior lighting scheme at night, it is difficult to judge whether the plan is suitable for a residential side street in this district. With assurance that the brightness of the proposed lighting plan will not exceed what is currently in place, we can recommend approval of this application.
