FRIENDS' Testimony:

FRIENDS’ Preservation Committee does not object to recladding the front façade of the two-story streetwall addition. The use of cast stone would be a welcome addition to preserve the original character of the building and to sustain continuity between the original 4 story building and the 2 story addition. We urge the applicant, however, to closely monitor the dismantling of the old cladding (i.e. EIFS) to minimize the environmental impact on the neighboring buildings. We trust the owner to keep neighbors informed about the process and to maintain a respectful relationship to minimize nuisance.
