FRIENDS' Testimony:

This is the first time FRIENDS’ Preservation Committee has seen a proposal that makes use of the VRV heating-and-cooling technology. Incorporating this new type of system in an historic building is a difficult design problem. In this case, the proposed mechanical equipment was successfully integrated by remaining minimally visible from the public way, doing little damage to the historic fabric, and mimicking a typical New York City fire escape. Our Committee therefore recommends the approval of this application.
