FRIENDS' Testimony:
FRIENDS Preservation Committee takes no issue with the replacement of the entrance door. While we believe the extensive use of glazing to be nontraditional of religious buildings, the proposed design won’t detract from the parish’s character. Additionally, the proposed canopy size, style, and material are unobtrusive and do not call undue attention to itself. Finally, FRIENDS would like to commend the applicant for coming up with a canopy design that is not intrusive, and won’t damage the building’s facade.
