FRIENDS' Testimony:

Our Preservation Committee feels that the red color of the retractable awning is too bright for the streetscape and will detract from the remaining Queen Anne architectural details on the side of the building. We suggest that the Commission work with the applicant to achieve a more subdued signage, as another restaurant by the same owner a few blocks away has been in contention with neighbors due to its obtrusively colored sidewalk enclosure and showy signage.
