FRIENDS' Testimony:
The Treadwell Farm Historic District is known for its evolution of styles and alterations, many of which are quirky and unique. One such example is the addition of the metal hood over the front door of 215 East 61st – an expressive feature which contributes to an eclectic street. Although we regret the loss of the metal hood, FRIENDS feels that the proposed enframement around the door is appropriate and will relate to the existing enframements around the windows on the facade, and can support this application.
