FRIENDS' Testimony:
950 Park Avenue has suffered from a complete pre-designation replacement of its original multi-pane windows to inappropriate single-pane tilt and turns. Carpenter’s design for this handsome building has been compromised by these alterations, and FRIENDS strongly recommends that the building devise a masterplan to foster sympathetic replacement of the original window configuration. That being said, FRIENDS’ Preservation Committee finds the proposed design to be a relatively modest alteration that will offer a slight improvement with the diminished profile of the window surrounds.
