FRIENDS' Testimony:

FRIENDS laments the loss of decorative brickwork to A/C louvers that were installed before the designation of the Park Avenue Historic District as well as the loss proposed in this application today. This unfortunate pre-designation mutilation set the precedent for the future installation of louvers of similar style and dimension, in keeping with the resulting piecemeal appearance of the façade at the time of designation.

We reiterate our strong recommendation from the last time this building came before the Commission, that the co-op board establish a master plan for the windows and HVAC units in order to guide future projects.
