FRIENDS' testimony:
FRIENDS’ Preservation Committee has no objection to the proposed modification of the storefront infill, as the work will not alter the appearance of the existing storefront.
The Committee, however, was unable to determine from the available historic photographs whether the storefront at no. 941 was originally recessed, as the storefront at no. 939 is today. We therefore recommend that, if the historic storefront at 939 was indeed recessed, the proposed infill maintain a recessed configuration consistent with the historic storefront.
