FRIENDS enthusiastically supports the preservation of modern and Postmodern architecture in the Upper East Side and throughout New York City. Moreover, we are very aware of threats to modern and Postmodern landscape designs across the country. That said, this is not one of the more prominent examples of the type and we find the proposed alterations to be appropriate. Thus, FRIENDS supports approval of this application by the Commission.
