FRIEND'S Testimony:

FRIENDS Preservation Committee supports the proposal to install a curved canopy over the building entrance at 40 East 72nd Street. We feel that canvas is an appropriate material for a residential canopy within the historic district and that the bronze tie backs and plates attaching the canopy to the building façade are unobtrusive. We are pleased to hear that the applicants will work with Landmarks Preservation Commission staff to find an appropriate green color and address font style for the canopy.
