CB8 Hearing: 12/14/15 (Approved)
LPC Hearing: 1/5/16 (Approved)
FRIENDS' Testimony:
The applicant proposes a new rectangular bulkhead which is modest in scale, utilitarian in its structure, and visually unobtrusive from the public way. Although the bulkhead is visible as one moves east along 80th Street, its flat roof will aid in its ability to blend in with the rooftop surroundings, in contrast to the current angled bulkhead. At the front areaway, we commend the applicant’s decision to use bluestone pavers. For these reasons, the Preservation Committee finds this to be an acceptable intervention and supports this application.
