FRIENDS' Testimony:
FRIENDS’ Preservation Committee supports the new public arrival signage on the plaza and in the Great Hall, noting that it was much needed to improve wayfinding through consistent color and standardized design, and we appreciate the cleaner, more refined banner attachment. We commend the Museum for investing in making the space more accessible and welcoming for everyone, across all ages and ability levels. We only ask that the illumination of the digital screens on the exterior pylons be carefully reviewed to reduce distraction and ambient light in the plaza, even though the screens face the museum rather than Fifth Avenue.
