Since the end of the 19th century, many elite Jewish families have called Carnegie Hill home. Join FRIENDS and architectural historian Matt Postal for a walk through their historic neighborhood, stopping to consider the distinguished residences they inhabited, the synagogues where they worshiped, and the important cultural institutions they launched. Highlights include both familiar and often overlooked gems, from the 92nd Street Y(MHA) and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, to buildings associated with Joseph and Muriel Buttinger, Otto Kahn, Elie Nadelman, Billy Rose, and Serge Sabarsky.
