FRIENDS' Testimony:
FRIENDS Preservation Committee commends the preservation efforts made to maintain this handsome building, especially given the unfortunate loss of many other brownstones constructed in the same row in the late 19th century. We acknowledge the architectural significance of this neo-Grec building and its contribution to the historical fabric of the neighborhood. To help with our full assessment, the Committee requests a front elevation view, as we found the sightline drawings to be confusing.
Regarding the rear yard, the Committee believes that the proposed aluminum spandrel panels are not in keeping with the character of the building. Instead, we strongly recommend brick to improve the composition and scale of the rear façade.
