FRIENDS' Testimony:
FRIENDS’ Preservation Committee supports the proposed work on the primary façade, second areaway, and rear façade, including the addition of a mechanical attic and new terrace garden. We believe, however, the penthouse, bulkhead extension, skylight, and two metal shade structures create an overly congested appearance on the roof. Although we appreciate the semi-permanent aesthetic of the pitched tent-like structures, we would prefer a less crowded rooftop.
