FRIENDS' Testimony:

FRIENDS’ Preservation Committee strongly opposes the legalization of illegal excavation in its current form. The applicant's failure to obtain a necessary permit demonstrates a flagrant disregard for established regulations. Therefore, we urge the Landmarks Preservation Commission to reject this proposal unless significant green space is added to the backyard as a means of mitigating the environmental impact and compensating for the applicant's previous disregard for the law.
