FRIENDS' Testimony:

While FRIENDS’ Preservation Committee wouldn’t normally review applications such as 10 East 92nd Street, we appreciate the opportunity to analyze the cumulative impact this rooftop addition will have on this Renaissance Revival rowhouse.

The three-stories high rear yard addition approved in 2003 replaced a very large and illegal addition, increasing the size and restoring the uniformity of the mid-block rear yard. FRIENDS does not believe that the proposed rooftop enlargement will have a negative cumulative impact on this structure, and appreciates the fact that the addition will not be visible from the public thoroughfare.
