Sad News from FRIENDS

Anne Lalor, age 78, died peacefully at home after a brief illness. She leaves her husband of 51 years, Peter deFlorez Millard, their four children, Richard, Hugh, Peter (Katrina) and Minnie (Brewster Carroll) and five grandchildren. Anne was warm, loving, smart and amazing with people. She gave and got a lot of love. Funeral private. Memorial Service at St Jean Baptiste – Lexington and 76th – Tuesday May 28 at 4:00pm. We were thrilled to hold our 30th Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony in the Park Avenue Armory’s Veterans Room, an interior landmark designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. The intact room has been described as “Greek, Moorish, and Celtic with a dash of the Egyptian, the Persian, and the Japanese.” A fitting setting for FRIENDS to recognize the fine restoration, renovation, and advocacy work on the Upper East Side!
