Book Talk: Fifth Avenue–Architecture and Society

JOIN US on February 29th, 2024 for a virtual book talk by architectural historian Professor Mosette Broderick based on her new publication, Fifth Avenue: Architecture and Society -- A History of America's Street of Dreams (Unicorn, 2024). The book traces the history and development of Fifth Avenue, one of the most remarkable thoroughfares in the world as it emerged from a country road at the turn of the 19th century to one of the city's major boulevards, synonymous with grand mansions and a lavish, fashionable life.

About the Author: Mosette Broderick, Clinical Professor in the Department of Art History, New York University, is also the Director of the London MA Programme in Historical and Sustainable Architecture. Professor Broderick’s many lectures and publications include Triumvirate: McKim Mead &White: Art, Architecture, Scandal and Class in America’s Golden Age.
