Architecture by the Water’s Edge

Join FRIENDS and architectural historian Matt Postal for a walking tour along the Upper East Side’s eastern edge. The tour begins near John Jay Park and concludes inside Carl Schurz Park, exploring the area’s history, development, and architectural highlights. Along the way, we’ll visit notable landmarks such as the Cherokee Apartments, the Junior League Hotel, the Brearley School, and 7 Gracie Square, known for its striking Art Deco metalwork by artist and developer Arthur Crisp.
