Celebration with FRIENDS

Since 2004, FRIENDS of the Upper East Side has gathered friends and supporters for a fall gala in celebration of our essential work as curators and stewards of the architecture, livability, and sense of place of the Upper East Side. We have been fortunate to honor quintessential New Yorkers with connections to our neighborhood,beginning with Ambassador Nicholas Platt, for whom our Ambassador Award has since been named. Past Ambassadors form an illustrious group representing those in the fields of art and design, to those in government and public affairs, to those in architecture and development. All share a demonstrated commitment to the preservation ethic, to FRIENDS’ work, and to our beloved Upper East Side. In this most unusual year, we can think of nothing more joyous than to be together to celebrate the resilience and vitality of our neighborhood, with a reunion of this distinguished group.
